Two-thirds of world's resources 'used up'

Guardian Unlimited | Life | Two-thirds of world's resources 'used up': "The human race is living beyond its means. A report backed by 1,360 scientists from 95 countries - some of them world leaders in their fields - today warns that the almost two-thirds of the natural machinery that supports life on Earth is being degraded by human pressure.

The study contains what its authors call 'a stark warning' for the entire world. The wetlands, forests, savannahs, estuaries, coastal fisheries and other habitats that recycle air, water and nutrients for all living creatures are being irretrievably damaged. In effect, one species is now a hazard to the other 10 million or so on the planet, and to itself."

From this article, obviously people cannot take full care of themselves. This is what our "individual responsibility" is leading us to, there are too many issues and problems in the world for any one person to fix or treat much less just live with and tolerate.

But then again the large organizations we have in society and on Earth looking over such things for the most part have their hands tied with multiple political cross-pressures to deal with much less maintain a steady hand to operate on the world.

What the hell are we going to do??? It's not like we can just pack up and move to another planet like a virus after Earth is regarded as the 'Brown Planet' from the 'Blue Planet.' Silly Humans.
